Hi! I'm Steph

I was fortunate to grow up in New Zealand, spending much of my childhood on a catamaran. My love for boating, the ocean, and its incredible marine life has always been a big part of who I am. I wanted a way to deepen my knowledge, share my passion, and contribute to marine conservation.

As a Graphic Designer and artist, I combined my love for the ocean with my creative skills to create digital illustrations that celebrate the sea.

In 2020, my family and I made Queensland our home after spending 10 years in Western Australia. My husband and I are raising our two beautiful children with a deep appreciation for nature and the ocean.

Becoming a mum in 2016 meant I wasn’t able to spend as much time underwater, but it strengthened my commitment to raising future ocean lovers, sharing knowledge, and supporting marine conservation. Through Sailfish Creative, I bring my passion and give back to the ocean that has given me so much.

The story of Sailfish Creative

In 2015, I became pregnant while traveling through Central America. During my maternity leave from Graphic Design, I began illustrating a children’s book about a Green Turtle. That creative journey took an unexpected turn, leading to a collection of eight Christmas cards!

I wanted to bring a splash of ocean joy to each design with playful puns and a fun
“Did you know?” fact on the back. It was also important to me that all cards were printed on eco-friendly, 100% recycled paper, with recycled envelopes to match.

From those first designs, Sailfish Creative slowly grew, expanding to include stickers, magnets, calendars, and more. Today, our products are stocked in over 30 stores across Australia!

Since the very beginning, 10% of all profits have been donated to marine conservation. We’ve supported organizations Sea Shepherd Australia, the Australian Marine Conservation Society, Reef Check Australia, the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, and more.

My dream is to see Sailfish Creative products in every seaside and ocean-loving store across Australia and beyond! Will you help me make this happen and help protect
